Scrap put to good use at Eco Fair

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Uk&world Update -

YOUNGSTERS found almost a million and one things to do with scrap paper during an Eco Fair.

Pupils on Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Primary School’s ecocommittee organised the day-long fair to promote recycling at the site in Tollgate, Bretton, Peterborough.

They held competitions to see who could make the biggest flying paper plane, transformed old Christmas cards into gift tags to use this year and made notepads out of the school’s scrap paper.

There was also a book swish, where the kids could bring an old book and exchange it for another secondhand one.

Eco leader Nicola Ward said: “They thought it was fantastic and had a lovely day.”
