Free apples for all at oral healthcare drive
COMMUTERS will be able to receive free apples as part of a health drive to celebrate the end of National Smile month.
Volunteers will also be giving advice on good dental healthcare at Peterborough train station on Monday, June 14 between 6am and 9am and then between 3.15pm and 7pm.
It is all part of National Smile Month, which runs annually between May 16 and June 16,
Dr Nigel Carter, who is helping to organise the drive, said: “By promoting good oral health in a fun way we hope to show people the importance of taking care of their teeth.
“That can help guard against all sorts of oral and general health conditions from bad breath and decay to gum disease.”
