Free ap­ples for all at oral health­care drive

COM­MUTERS will be able to re­ceive free ap­ples as part of a health drive to cel­e­brate the end of Na­tional Smile month.

Vol­un­teers will also be giv­ing ad­vice on good den­tal health­care at Peter­bor­ough train sta­tion on Mon­day, June 14 be­tween 6am and 9am and then be­tween 3.15pm and 7pm.

It is all part of Na­tional Smile Month, which runs an­nu­ally be­tween May 16 and June 16,

Dr Nigel Carter, who is help­ing to or­gan­ise the drive, said: “By pro­mot­ing good oral health in a fun way we hope to show peo­ple the im­por­tance of tak­ing care of their teeth.

“That can help guard against all sorts of oral and gen­eral health con­di­tions from bad breath and de­cay to gum dis­ease.”
