Top bands play at vil­lage ‘party’

A HOST of top bands will be tak­ing the stage at this month’s Ram­sey Forty-Foot Party In The Park.

So far six acts have been lined up for the vil­lage as­so­ci­a­tion event which takes place on Satur­day, June 19 and Sun­day, June 20.

The mu­sic ex­trav­a­ganza be­gins at 5.30pm on the Satur­day, and the bands, Sweet Re­venge, The Lonely, The Fen Bill Rhythm Aces, Fuel For The Fire, The Vi­o­lent Bones and The Brink will play for the whole evening.

The Vi­o­let Bones, who have re­cently re­leased their first CD, will be play­ing a va­ri­ety of mu­sic in­clud­ing a com­pi­la­tion of mod­ern mu­sic for the young mem­bers of the au­di­ence.

There will be gi­ant in­flat­a­bles (ob­sta­cle cour­ses), for adults as well as chil­dren, to play on dur­ing the evening, and also lots of food to buy. The evening will fin­ish with a short fire­work dis­play at mid­night.

On the Sun­day it’s time for the fam­ily fun day from 2pm to 6pm.

There will be chil­dren’s en­ter­tain­ment with magic shows, char­ac­ter walk rounds, best baby and tod­dler com­pe­ti­tions, ob­sta­cle cour­ses, a fun fair, craft stalls, disco and lots of food.
