Tod­dle along for park event

TAKE your tod­dler to Ferry Mead­ows Coun­try Park and join hun­dreds of other par­ents tak­ing part in a huge fundrais­ing event.

The Barnardo’s Big Tod­dle, which is the UK’s num­ber one fundrais­ing event for un­der fives, is be­ing held at the Peter- bor­ough park on Tues­day morn­ing.

Par­ents from across Peter­bor­ough are asked to reg­is­ter for The Big Tod­dle and for the first time the chil­dren’s char­ity is in­tro­duc­ing a fancy dress theme to its flag­ship event – swash­buck­ling pi­rates.

The Barnardo’s Big Tod­dle is a short spon­sored walk which saw close to half a mil­lion un­der fives reg­is­ter to Tod­dle in 2009 alone.

The vi­tal funds raised by The Big Tod­dle will go to­wards sup­port­ing Barnardo’s early years work, in­clud­ing ser­vices for chil­dren with phys­i­cal and learn­ing dis­abil­i­ties, autism and be­havioural prob­lems.

En­try is free, with reg­is­tra­tion at 10am on the day. The walk starts at 10.30am.
