Live mu­sic events at pop­u­lar bar

YOU can en­joy a re­lax­ing af­ter­noon at one of the up­com­ing Sum­mer Sun­day events be­ing held at a pop­u­lar Peter­bor­ough bar. With the largest beer gar­den in the city, Char­ters, off Town Bridge, is mak­ing use of the space to put on some of the city’s best bands.

Bar man­ager, Hugh Sher­wood, said: “Fol­low­ing on from the huge suc­cess of last year’s live mu­sic events we de­cided we would like to of­fer the peo­ple of Peter­bor­ough a warm and friendly en­vi­ron­ment in which to re­lax and en­joy some free en­ter­tain­ment.”

Shows in­clude The Houndogs on June 27; Chil­dren of the Revo­lu­tion on July 4; Ian Parker on July 18 and Groove Car­tel on July 25.

Just Dogs Live will in­cor­po­rate the East of Eng­land Cham­pi­onship Dog Show, and will in­clude the tra­di­tional Crufts qual­i­fier show­ing classes.

The show will also fea­ture ad­di­tional at­trac­tions, in­clud­ing demon­stra­tions and com­pe­ti­tions to en­sure the event is a great day out for all dog lovers, young and old.

It takes place from July 9 to 11, and will fea­ture around 200 breeds of dogs.

There will be many dis­plays demon­strat­ing how dogs can help us hu­mans in so many dif­fer­ent ways, in­clud­ing the staff and dogs from HMP White­moor, who will once again wow the crowds with their dis­plays.

Es­sex Dog Dis­play Team will be sure to keep vis­i­tors en­ter­tained with their ac­tion-packed dis­play and Ca­nine Part­ners will be high­light­ing their work train­ing as­sis­tance dogs.
