Spend a night together with Stones tribute act

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - The Guide -

EXPERIENCE all the energy and excitement of a live Rolling Stones concert at a tribute gig next week.

Universally known as one of the great rock ‘n’ roll bands in the world, The Rolling Stones have sold more than 200 million albums worldwide.

Hits such as Satisfaction, Start Me Up and Jumping Jack Flash are known the world over.

It will be down to The Stones to bring these classics to the Stamford Corn Exchange stage on Saturday, June 19.

The spotlight inevitably falls on Ben Wattam, who performs the Mick Jagger role, and who bears a striking resemblance to Mick.

And not only does he look like the legend, but he comes from Eckington in Derbyshire, which is significant as Mick Jagger’s grandmother was from Eckington and is now buried there.

As critical as the role of Mick Jagger is, he cannot do it alone, and the rest of the band do an amazing job of recreating the unique sound of The Rolling Stones, as those attending their shows will attest – you simply will not believe your eyes or your ears.

Tickets cost £15 from 01780 766455.
