ONE of the region’s most popular family attractions is opening its doors to the public this weekend.

Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre, situated to the north of Peterborough, is throwing its gates wide this Sunday, and entry is free.

The day offers visitors a great day out, and an opportunity to meet the farmers who grow their food and care for the countryside.

Caroline Alsop, from the centre, said: “It’s our second year supporting Open Farm Sunday with Riverford Organic Vegetables and it’s going to be a busy day full of farm activities.

“Visitors will be able to enjoy tractor rides and walks around the farm and learn about all the wonderful vegetables and crops grown here.

“They can come and feed the animals, take part in pond dipping, see our 18th Century watermill working and plenty more.

“For those of you who love machinery, there will be plenty of tractors and tools on show too.”
