US punk stars to play cres­set

Less Than Jake are more than happy to be play­ing the Cres­set. Less Than Jake The Cres­set be pleased to know that fel­low pop punkers Ze­bra­head will also be on the bill – a band who have played in the city sev­eral times in the last five years.

The show is be­ing pro­moted by The Met Lounge and Just What You Want Con­certs.

Steve Ja­son, from The Met, said: “I think that on this oc­ca­sion the fact we have two of the best loved ska/pop/punk bands on the same bill makes it a very strong show.

“We’re lucky to have the date as The Cres­set is pos­si­bly the small­est venue on the en­tire tour so hope­fully tick­ets will be in de­mand right from the start.

“In ad­di­tion, there will be a third band added to the bill very shortly – again it will be a “name” band and thus mak­ing the three band pack­age one of the strong­est shows to come to Peter­bor­ough for a very long time.”

To date, Less Than Jake has re­leased eight full-length stu­dio al­bums and a num­ber of sin­gles and com­pi­la­tions. They are per­haps most famed for the track All My Best Friends are Met­al­heads.

The cur­rent lineup com­prises gui­tarist/vo­cal­ist Chris De­makes, bassist/vo­cal­ist Roger Man­ganelli, drum­mer/lyri­cist Vin­nie Fiorello, trom­bon­ist Buddy Schaub and sax­o­phon­ist Peter ‘JR’ Wasilewski.
