US punk stars to play cresset
Less Than Jake are more than happy to be playing the Cresset. Less Than Jake The Cresset be pleased to know that fellow pop punkers Zebrahead will also be on the bill – a band who have played in the city several times in the last five years.
The show is being promoted by The Met Lounge and Just What You Want Concerts.
Steve Jason, from The Met, said: “I think that on this occasion the fact we have two of the best loved ska/pop/punk bands on the same bill makes it a very strong show.
“We’re lucky to have the date as The Cresset is possibly the smallest venue on the entire tour so hopefully tickets will be in demand right from the start.
“In addition, there will be a third band added to the bill very shortly – again it will be a “name” band and thus making the three band package one of the strongest shows to come to Peterborough for a very long time.”
To date, Less Than Jake has released eight full-length studio albums and a number of singles and compilations. They are perhaps most famed for the track All My Best Friends are Metalheads.
The current lineup comprises guitarist/vocalist Chris Demakes, bassist/vocalist Roger Manganelli, drummer/lyricist Vinnie Fiorello, trombonist Buddy Schaub and saxophonist Peter ‘JR’ Wasilewski.
