The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Neighbourhood News -

A SECONDARY school is hoping it will be another successful year for its summer fete, which is being held later this month.

For the second year in a row, Stanground College, in Peterborough Road, is hosting an action-packed day for the public.

It will be held on June 19 from 11am to 2pm at the school, with some new additions to the schedule from last year’s spectacular.

Gone is the car boot sale, which has been replaced by art, music and drama workshops for primary school age children from the college’s vast catchment area.

An open invitation has been sent to seven schools in Stanground, Farcet and Yaxley for their pupils to come along and join in the fun.

The college is also encouraging the wider community to get involved on the day. To do this, it is appealing for businesses, community groups and pupils to host their own stalls on the day.

It also needs donations of raffle prizes.

Anyone interested in taking part should call Carol Austin at Stanground College on 01733 564071 or send an email to c.austin@stangroundcollege.co.uk.
