Youngsters get bike tips
YOUNGSTERS across Cambridgeshire will be getting in the saddle as part of national Bike Week.
Children across the county will be taking part in cycling lessons at their schools between June 19 and 27. The younger pupils will learn basic skills off-road, while older pupils will learn how to ride on the road. All children will be given bike maintenance tips on how to keep their cycle in top condition.
Every year in Cambridgeshire over 3,500 pupils receive on road cycle training delivered by a team of volunteer cycling instructors who are trained by the Cambridgeshire County Council.
Cheryl Morgan, cycling education officer said: “It is so important that children are given the skills to help them make their journeys as safe as possible.”
