FOOTBALL fans can warm up for England’s first World Cup match with a special event at Peterborough City Market today. Budding football stars can take part in a keepy-uppy competition or shooting contest. For the less energetic there is a World Cup quiz and face-painting, plus food and music throughout the day. Free footballs will be available to take away between 10am and 3pm. Leigh Rowell, chairman of Peterborough City Market traders, said: “Anyone who wants to get into the World Cup spirit should come down to the market.”
