We have teamed up with ‘Battle Proms’ to offer readers the chance to win one of six pairs of tickets to the Battle Proms Picnic Concert at Burghley House on Saturday 10 July.

Every summer thousands of concert-goers pack up a picnic, stock up on fizz and join the party in the stunning grounds of Burghley House for the Battle Proms Picnic Concert, to be held this year on Saturday 10 July. Picture a balmy summer evening amongst friends with sublime music, breathtaking Spitfire display, bold horsemen, and explosive cannon fire and fireworks; it’s an exceptional event that you will never forget!

The Battle Proms (now in its 13th year) is the most distinctive event of its kind. The ‘Battle’ in the concert name refers to an entirely unique and thrilling performance of Beethoven’s ‘Battle Symphony,’ a powerful piece of music which was composed to include 193 live firing cannons as part of the score – a concert highlight and a real spectacle!

The uplifting concert finale contains a sky full of fireworks and all of the proms favourites lead by Channel 4’s winning soprano: the superb Denise Leigh. She brings the crowd to their feet with Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia and much more – it’s the perfect way to round off a wonderful evening’s entertainment!
