THE World’s Ugli­est Dog com­pe­ti­tion is an an­nual con­test held in Pe­taluma, Cal­i­for­nia.

As part of the Sonoma-Marin Fair, the con­test looks for the world’s ugli­est dog.

And along with the ti­tle of “The World’s Ugli­est Dog” the win­ner’s owner gets $1,000.

The con­test has been go­ing on for 22 years.

Miss El­lie, a blind 17-year-old Chi­nese Crested Hair­less, won in the 2009 pedi­gree cat­e­gory.

The pooch from Ten­nessee had only a cou­ple of back teeth, cataracts in both her eyes, sev­eral moles and pim­ples and limited hair.
