The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Neighbourhood News -

THE sun had its hat on as families converged on New England for a huge picnic to celebrate National Family Week.

Fulbridge Children’s Centre, in Keeton Road, hosted more than 100 families at a free picnic supported by the Oxney Road Sainsbury’s store on Wednesday, June 2.

It followed a half- term family play session for youngsters, which involved various outdoor activities, including parachute games.

Kathy Tomlinson, of organisers Family Care, said: “We told all our children to sing ‘The sun has got his hat on’ when they woke on Wednesday, it certainly worked for us.”
