Job creation is a good sign of the things to come

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - News -

THERE

seems to be no let-up these days in companies wanting to set up business here in Peterborough – and long may it last.

We may well have seen the worst of the recession, but we are clearly not out of the woods just yet.

The monthly jobless figures still make sorry reading and there remains a steady trickle of redundancies as companies get themselves in a position to ensure their recovery.

The latest well-known name to be associated with the city is Dobbies, quite a big name in the garden centre world who have plans for an £8m outlet at Hampton.

Clearly there is a planning hurdle to overcome, but on the back of the recent job creation announcements things are pretty positive.

Another ray of light at the end of the tunnel created for so many by the credit crunch.
