Networking with the Co-op
tion- for people thinking operative, convertbusiness into one, one. lectures and a quessession ahead of and the event will be chaired by Anglia Co-operative chief executive, John Chillcott.
He said: “ The aim is to encourage the development of the co-operative economy in the region, promote a better understanding of the co-operative business model and help people to see an alternative way of structuring businesses.”
Speakers will include Ed Mayo, secretary general of Co-operatives UK, a national organisation promoting and supporting co-operative enterprise; Paul Tate, senior partner at Roythornes LLP, who has wide experience of legal work with cooperatives; and David Coppinger, former senior business development manager and chair of Bray Parish Council, who will give an insight into how co-operatives can work in the community.
