Banging the drum for culture
PUPILS soaked up a host of cultures during a special day to broaden their understanding of the world.
The Deepings School, in Deeping St James, held its annual culture day, with different year groups discussing a range of subjects.
There were themes exploring disability and religion, but there was also a chance to try out Scottish and Salsa dancing, learn about Islamic culture and sample Chinese food.
Co-ordinator Dawne Pearson said: “It is always so rewarding to see the pupils participating in activities and gaining so much from the day, which then enriches their day to day learning and living.”
