Thank you message for donors
A MOTHER-OF-TWO, saved by a blood transfusion, has thanked donors in Peterborough.
Those coming to give blood at The Fleet complex, Old Fletton, on Monday met Lucy Rands who survived haemorrhaging during a miscarriage in 2006 after receiving eight units of blood.
Her visit to the session was part of World Blood Donor Day.
Mrs Rands said: “I wanted to personally thank blood donors, as without them I would not be here, my children would be without a mother and my husband without a wife, so on behalf of all of us, thank you for your generous gift of life.”
