Patients must not lose out in dispute
THE bickering which appears to have beset health services in Peterborough is surely a worry.
on the back of a £12m loss in the last financial year, NHS Peterborough, the primary care trust which commissions health services in the city, clearly has its work cut out balancing the books this year.
But, it would appear, the hospitals trust which runs PdH, Edith Cavell and Stamford hospital is not keen to allow the PCt to call all the shots when it comes to negotiating contracts between the two organisations.
that they cannot even agree on whether a mediator is needed to broker a deal says a lot.
What ever the outcome, when the bickering has finished the public must not be the loser.
