Paramedics are heroes

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Uk&world Update -

RE: Brian Older: Lifesaver loses his own cancer battle, ET, June 12.

Although I never knew Brian, I do know several Paramedics in the Ambulance Service and I know that they will be grieving the loss of a colleague along with his family. We’ve heard the word “heroes” used so much when we talk about military heroes, but paramedics are the heroes that ensure that other heroes are able to return and tell their story. Paramedics in the Ambulance Service deal with this day after day, week in and week out. Where would we be without these dedicated men and women? For Brian the journey has come to an end, but we must take heart in the fact that because of his skills and dedication he has allowed so many people to continue on their own journey through life for many years to come and that is his wonderful living legacy. We should all give thanks to him and people like him as he rest in peace.
