Survey aims to stimulate rural economies
PETERBOROUGH City Council and Greater Peterborough Partnership are asking residents and owners of businesses located in villages around the city to participate in a survey designed to support efforts to stimulate local rural economies.
The survey consists of two parts. The first asks for residents’ opinions and thoughts on the make-up of local communities, employment habits, employment opportunities and essential infrastructure to accommo- date growth.
The second part asks owners/ managers of businesses located in rural areas to comment on the obstacles they believe prevent the development of rural economies. Once the results of the survey have been collated and analysed, the views of the residents will be used to develop a new strategy for rural economies.
