Rail gift for dads

SONS and daugh­ters across the coun­try are in­vited to treat their dads to a ride on a minia­ture rail­way.

Chil­dren from Peter­bor­ough and Lin­colnshire who want to give their dads a spe­cial treat this Fa­ther’s Day – this Sun­day – will be able to take them for a free ride on a minia­ture train.

The minia­ture rail­way at Crow­land Gar­den Cen­tre on the B1166 Post­land Road, just off the A1073, will be run­ning on Sun­day from 11am un­til 4pm.

Any dads who are ac­com­pa­nied by their chil­dren will be of­fered a free ride.

Man­ager of the store, San­jay Bowry said: “We wanted to do some­thing spe­cial for dads on Fa­ther’s Day, so we thought it would be a great idea to give them the chance to ride on our minia­ture rail­way for free.

“The rail­way is very pop­u­lar with vis­i­tors of all ages, but it is al­ways a favourite with dads. We hope that lots of peo­ple will join us to cel­e­brate Fa­ther’s Day.”

Fa­thers who visit the minia­ture rail­way at Crow­land Gar­den Cen­tre on Sun­day, ac­com­pa­nied by their chil­dren will re­ceive a free ride on the rail­way.

Chil­dren will need to pay for their ride.

All other rides on the train cost £1 per adult or child.

Rides are weather de­pen­dent.
