All the fun at the fete

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Neighbourhood News -

THE small village of Folksworth was invaded by scarecrows at its annual festival.

Supported byThe Fox pub, around 30 scarecrows were paraded around the village on June 5 as part of Folksworth Summer Fete and Scarecrow Festival.

It usually takes place in July, but was moved forward so it did not clash with the World Cup.

Organiser Phil Beal said: “To get 30 people bringing scarecrows in is really pleasing considering the size of the village.

“The event coincided with the pub’s beer festival as well, so it was a much bigger event than the one we ran last year.”
