A grand World Cup effort for charity
KIND-hearted Elton Furze members have raised a whopping sum for Multiple Sclerosis at their annual charity day.
This year the club decided to target their fund-raising efforts towards the local branch of the charity which is hoping to raise funds to replace their ageing bus.
And thanks to a World Cup theme in which all teams represented one of the 32 countries taking part in South Africa, the princely sum of £1,420 was raised on the day.
Winners of the two-ball betterball competition were course record holder Jamie Hibbert and his partner Aaron Jones, whose score was combined with their hidden partners, Calom Burke and James Brackenbury, giving the ‘South Koreans’ a winning total of 88 stableford points.
