ENG­LAND flags have been fly­ing off the shelves as part of the Evening Tele­graph’s ex­clu­sive deal to give read­ers a free World Cup gift.

We have teamed up with The Party Shop on London Road, Peter­bor­ough, to give away 1,000 free Eng­land car flags.

And wity Eng­land in ac­tion again tonight and the city al­ready hav­ing turned red and white, foot­ball fa­nat­ics have rushed to grab hun­dreds of the flags in the first week of the tour­na­ment.

Owner of The Party Shop, for­mer Posh star Rick Hep­po­lete, said: “Peo­ple re­ally seem to be tak­ing to the give­away.

“The World Cup is so im­por­tant to ev­ery­one and it is great to see peo­ple from Peter­bor­ough get­ting be­hind Eng­land.

“Putting these flags on your car is a great way of show­ing your sup­port. I have one on mine and it is amaz­ing the amount of smiles and waves you get.”

The Party Shop is sit­u­ated at 11-15 London Road, next to the Posh ground and is an Aladdin’s Cave of items for any­one with a cel­e­bra­tion in mind.

There will also be the op­por­tu­nity to re­serve a time to get your photo taken hold­ing a replica World Cup tro­phy with Fabio Capello looka­like Howard Brown.

Read­ers can pick up their flags any time dur­ing the store’s open­ing hours from 9am to 5.30pm, Mon­day to Satur­day, us­ing the to­ken on this page
