Calling all DJs

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Tonight’s TV -

BUDDING young DJs inspired by the likes of Annie Mac, pictured, Erol Alkan or Pete Tong are urged to sign up to a competition. Peterborough’s Liquid nightclub is encouraging 13 to 17-year-olds to enter for their own chance of DJ superstardom. The competition offers the opportunity to mash up tracks and mix what could be the next club anthem. The contest will be staged at the club, in New Road, on Saturday, July 31, with winners from each heat progressing to regional and national finals at Windsor’s Liquid nightclub. There are some fantastic prizes to be won at each stage of the competition and the national winner can look forward to a full Pioneer DJ set-up of equipment worth more than £1,000, plus other great prizes, too. Competitors will be given the opportunity to warm up at the venue before the competition starts, as well as raising their profile through networking sites, as audience participation will play a huge part in helping to judge the competition. If you fancy yourself as the next king (or queen) of the decks, then book your place in the competition by calling 01733 898005, or applying online via www.ukclubculture.com
