old family favourite

The Vauxhall Meriva is a lot more agile looking than most small MPVs. wheels look altogether.

Inside, practicality reigns. The rear seats can be folded or configured in as many ways as you’ll need, there’s a sliding centre console box (as an option), called a FlexRail system, which can be tilted at either end, or removed completely, leaving you with a deep centre channel in which to store all sorts of gubbins, and it will even take a largish handbag (or man-bag) in it. There is also the obligatory panoramic sunroof option. Materials are pleasing rubbery plastics and it all feels pretty well screwed together. Another welcome feature is the electronic parking brake, which effectively removes the pan-handle from the centre tunnel and frees up more room.

prACTICAL: The interior of the Vaxhall Meriva is very flexible with the rear seats folding down in a variety of ways.
