Network date with co-operatives
A UNIQUE insight into how cooperatives work and how they could benefit local businesses and communities is being offered at a networking event next month.
Anglia Co-operative is hosting the free networking session and buffet lunch on July 2 at the Deafblind UK Conference Centre, in John and Lucille Van Geest Place, Cygnet Road, Hampton, Peterborough.
The day is part of Co- operatives Fortnight, and runs from 11am to 2.30pm.
It is designed to show how co-operatives work – providing a valuable insight for people thinking of launching a cooperative, converting their existing business into one, or working with one.
Co-operatives are owned by their members – whether they be customers, staff or the community.
has more than 300,000 members, who enjoy a say in how the business is run and also get a share of the profits.
The event will feature lectures and a question-andanswer session ahead of the buffet lunch, and will be chaired by Anglia Co-operative chief executive John Chillcott.
