Animal fun day at city garden centre
SEA creatures and feathered friends were among the animals on display at a family fun day in Peterborough.
Families flocked to Peterborough Garden Park in Peterborough Road, Eye, to see a host of fish, ferrets, frogs and birds.
The event was attended by a range of animal charities including the Raptor Foundation, which was displaying birds and animals including snakes, frogs, newts, toads, dogs, cats, fish, ferrets and bats.
Among the crowd of visitors, was five-year-old Molly Nightingale, from Fletton, who was treated to a special meet-and-greet with Mr Bones, the eagle owl.
There was a toddlers’ story time, a colouring competition and games, plus crafts, butterfly hunts, raffles and charity stalls.
Each retailer nominated their own animal charity to benefit from funds raised on the day.
