An­i­mal fun day at city gar­den cen­tre

SEA crea­tures and feath­ered friends were among the an­i­mals on dis­play at a fam­ily fun day in Peter­bor­ough.

Fam­i­lies flocked to Peter­bor­ough Gar­den Park in Peter­bor­ough Road, Eye, to see a host of fish, fer­rets, frogs and birds.

The event was at­tended by a range of an­i­mal char­i­ties in­clud­ing the Rap­tor Foun­da­tion, which was dis­play­ing birds and an­i­mals in­clud­ing snakes, frogs, newts, toads, dogs, cats, fish, fer­rets and bats.

Among the crowd of vis­i­tors, was five-year-old Molly Nightin­gale, from Flet­ton, who was treated to a spe­cial meet-and-greet with Mr Bones, the ea­gle owl.

There was a tod­dlers’ story time, a colour­ing com­pe­ti­tion and games, plus crafts, but­ter­fly hunts, raf­fles and char­ity stalls.

Each re­tailer nom­i­nated their own an­i­mal char­ity to ben­e­fit from funds raised on the day.
