Punishment should send message to grave thieves

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Your -

Those who steal from graves and desecrate them have no fear and I would suspect don’t even care.

however, the warnings are there and people should really think long and hard about what type of memorial they want to leave to their loved ones.

We know that anyone should have the right to leave anything they like without fear of damage or theft, but regrettable though it is, we live in an age of selfishness, greed and no consideration for anyone or anything.

If and when these people get caught, the punishment needs to send out a clear warning that will be a signal to others who might be tempted.

That of course will be a wish and unlikely to become a reality and thereby hangs another unpleasant fact!
