Ofsted results are proof that schools are on the up

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Your -

The city has stuttered a little in recent years as far as exam league tables are concerned, but progress is clearly being made in many other areas.

Inspections by the education watchdog ofsted play an important part in assessing the quality of teaching and learning, and results this year appear to be very encouraging.

Inspectors have passed “outstanding” verdicts on an impressive list of schools, with many more judged as good and – tellingly – none deemed inadequate.

There is work to be done to raise educational standards across Peterborough, at primary and secondary levels, but it is reassuring for parents to see that the efforts made are getting recognised.
