Posh make a successful bid for defender
POSH have had a bid accepted for Shrewsbury defender Kelvin Langmead.
The 25 year-old will discuss personal terms when he returns from holiday next week. The fee is believed to be around the £50,000 mark.
Posh director of football Barry Fry said: “The manager identified Kelvin as a player he wanted a while ago, but we have been waiting for Shrewsbury to appoint a manager before making our bid.
“Their new manager Graham Turner has accepted our bid and we can talk to the player when he returns from his holiday.”
Langmead has played over 250 games for Shrewsbury in five years at the club. He started his career as a striker at Preston.
If he signs he will be the second player to move to Posh from Shrewsbury this summer after striker Dave Hibbert.
