Youth po­etry con­test

TAL­ENTED rap­pers and bud­ding po­ets have just one week left to en­ter a top city com­pe­ti­tion.

Chil­dren are be­ing en­cour­aged to write a poem or rap about jour­neys into space in an at­tempt to be­come Peter­bor­ough Young Po­ets.

Po­ets and rap artists en­ter­ing the Youth Lau­re­ate com­pe­ti­tion should be aged 12 to 18 years. They need to sub­mit a poem or rap about “The Un- ex­plained”. En­tries need to be no more than 20 lines and the clos­ing date is June 27. En­trants should ei­ther live or go to school in Peter­bor­ough.
