Man is hurt in brawl

A MAN was left in­jured in the street af­ter a brawl be­tween three peo­ple.

As two men fled the scene in Sal­ters­gate, Parn­well, Peter­bor­ough, po­lice de­ployed the force heli­copter to track them.

The alarm was raised by a mem­ber of the pub­lic who spot­ted the fight at about 3.55pm on Satur­day out­side the One Stop con­ve­nience store.

A po­lice spokes­woman said: “The heli­copter went up at 4.15pm and did an area search to look for those in­volved but couldn’t trace them.

“The search took about 15 min­utes.

“A 21-year-old man from Peter­bor­ough suf­fered mi­nor in­juries fol­low­ing the fight.

“There have not been any ar­rests at this stage but in­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.

“We would strongly urge any­body who knows any­thing about the in­ci­dent were get in touch with us.”

There were not thought to be any se­ri­ous in­juries as a re­sult of the con­fronta­tion.
