A NEW butcher’s shop is set to open in Deeping St James. Deeping St James-based firm, Grasmere Farm is completing its plans to open a new shop in the High Street at the site of the former Tin Miner’s Pasty Company. It will be the second butcher’s shop for owner Stewart Stables, who already runs a shop in Market Gate, Market Deeping. He hopes the new shop will be open by July. He said: “We will still have our stall at the farmers’ market because some customers will expect it to be there and it is the success of the stall that led to our belief in the success of the new retail unit.”
