Cam­paign for fair NHS trea­ment

ADULTS with learn­ing dis­abil­i­ties will be rais­ing aware­ness of char­ity Men­cap’s new cam­paign in Peter­bor­ough to­day.

They will be pro­mot­ing ‘Get­ting It Right’ at Peter­bor­ough District Hos­pi­tal, in Thorpe Road and Edith Cavell Hos­pi­tal, at Bret­ton, as part of Na­tional Learn­ing Dis­abil­ity Week.

They will be man­ning stands from 10am to 2pm pro­mot­ing the cam­paign, which calls for peo­ple with learn­ing dis­abil­i­ties to get the right health­care and equal treat­ment from the NHS.

The vol­un­teers – from the Ad­vo­cacy Project at Peter­bor­ough Coun­cil for Vol­un­tary Ser­vice – will ask the pub­lic and hos­pi­tal staff to sign up to the cam­paign.
