Man in hos­pi­tal af­ter knife at­tack in street

A MAN needed hos­pi­tal treat­ment af­ter he was stabbed three times with a knife in an at­tack in Spald­ing.

Po­lice on pa­trol in Spring Gar­dens found a 22-year-old lo­cal man bleed­ing from the knife wounds at 12.30am yes­ter­day.

The man, who po­lice be­lieve is orig­i­nally from Poland, was treated at Pil­grim Hos­pi­tal, Bos­ton, for his wounds, which are not be­lieved to be life-threat­en­ing.

A spokes­woman for Lin­colnshire Po­lice said: “We have not been able to speak to the man at length but it ap­pears he has been as­saulted by up to three men, pos­si­bly in the Bedford Place area.

“We would urge any­one who saw the men or heard an ar­gu­ment in that area to call us.”
