Discount on new homes for armed forces

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Property Today -

CAMBRIDGESHIRE’S leading housebuilder is doing its bit to support our troops in Afghanistan by doubling the discount it offers to military servicemen and women when they buy a new home.

Anyone who has served in the army, navy or RAF could receive thousands of pounds off the cost of a property thanks to David Wilson South Midlands’ Armed Forces Discount Scheme. Up until now service personnel were awarded a £500 discount for every £25,000 of the cost of the property they were buying. But from this year’s Armed Forces Day tomorrow, the servicemen and women will receive a £1,000 discount for every £25,000 or part thereof on the cost of the property. This would work out as £12,000 off the cost of a £251,000 home.

Jackie Day, sales director at David Wilson said: “By doubling the discount we offer to the military we hope we can help many more of these courageous men and women save money when they buy a property.”

“Our staff are strongly supportive of the work our troops do in unimaginably hostile war-zones such as Afghanistan. In our own very small way, we hope that this offer shows that we’re backing our words with actions.”

David Wilson is currently offering this exclusive deal at all its developments throughout Cambridgeshire which include:

Waters Edge, Spring Avenue, Hampton Vale, Peterborough

A stunning waterside collection of two-, three and four bedroom homes. Prices start from £124,995.
