Queen opens The Cressett

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Hobson's Choice -

IN 1978 The Queen came to Peterborough to officially open The Cresset.

The venue was designed to be the city’s foremost multipurpose venue, playing host to an exciting and diverse mix of live entertainment community activities, corporate and private events.

The theatre side of the business is now being significantly reduced but it still has a thriving community programme offering activities for all ages, including dance and drama classes and community workshops, and its elegant function suites provide the ideal setting for wedding, special occasions, business meetings and conferences.

Do you remember the opening? Did you get to meet the Queen? Please contact me on the details below with any information.
