AN EX­CIT­ING new pro­duc­tion, based on the tele­vi­sion show Hi-De-Hi!, can be seen at The Key The­atre in Peter­bor­ough this week.

Penned by two of the most suc­cess­ful sit­com writ­ers of the 20th cen­tury, Jimmy Perry and David Croft, Hi-De-Hi! be­came an in­sti­tu­tion to tele­vi­sion au­di­ences dur­ing its nine se­ries.

In this ex­cit­ing new pro­duc­tion of the stage show, which has not been seen since it was in the West End in 1984, Peter Amory, who is best known for play­ing Chris Tate in Em­merdale, stars as the Maplin’s Camp man­ager Jef­frey Fair­brother.

The bril­liantly funny Damian Wil­liam, new pre­sen­ter of Sky One’s Are You Smarter Than Your Ten Year Old, plays the Camp host Ted Bo­vis and Barry Howard and Nikki Kelly - two orig­i­nal mem­bers of the TV se­ries - also join the cast.

Abi­gail Finley from the BBC’s How Do You Solve A Prob­lem Like Maria? stars as Peggy Ollerenshaw.
