Rural survey seeks to boost economy
RESIDENTS in villages around Peterborough are being invited to participate in a survey to help stimulate local rural economies. The first part of the survey asks for residents’ opinions and thoughts on the make-up of local communities, employment habits, employment opportunities and essential infrastructure to accommodate growth. The second part asks owners or managers of businesses located in rural areas to comment on the obstacles they believe prevent the development of rural economies. The views will be used to develop a new strategy for rural economies. The surveys have been sent to each village’s parish council, who will distribute them to residents.
