THIS year’s Com­mu­nity Zone at Cen­tral Park of­fers some­thing for all ages and tastes.

Whether you want to look back to the dawn of time star-gaz­ing in the Mo­bile Plan­e­tar­ium, see what Scout­ing was re­ally like in the 1950s or sam­ple food from around the world, it’s all here. Mo­bile Plan­e­tar­iuM . . . En­ter the dark­ness and ex­plore the stars with­out any dis­trac­tions. Let ex­pe­ri­enced teach­ers guide you through your jour­ney into space. Suit­able for all age groups and abil­i­ties, this is a su­perb op­por­tu­nity to learn about space in a fan­tas­tic, fun and ed­u­ca­tional en­vi­ron­ment.

£1 en­try fee. Scout­ing ‘50S Style . . . Peter­bor­ough’s Scouts will be cre­at­ing two camps in Cen­tral Park – one from the 1950s, the other from to­day – to show the ad­vances in Scout­ing over the past 50 years. They will also be mak­ing shel­ters, cre­at­ing cat­a­pults, run­ning kart races and op­er­at­ing a fan­tas­tic climb­ing tower for you to try.

The Teen­fest zone will of­fer a wide va­ri­ety of ac­tiv­i­ties to get the minds and bod­ies of the city’s young peo­ple work­ing.

a spe­cial stage will show­case tal­ent from PRC’s Per­form­ing arts cour­ses and the heats of Peter­bor­ough’s Youth Got Tal­ent.

The Zone will also be host­ing the bbC blast, an in­ter­ac­tive ex­pe­ri­ence for teenagers who are in­ter­ested in the arts and me­dia.

One of the other high­lights of the Zone prom­ises to be a Graf­fiti board area where teenagers can learn more about this pop­u­lar art form, and even have a go them­selves.
