Pub hosts its first gig in a long time

EN­JOY the sun­shine we are hope­fully due to get and raise money for a good cause at an event at the Ex­eter Arms, in Help­ston, on Satur­day.

Or­gan­ised by the Har­ley Davidson Rid­ers Club of Great Bri­tain (HDRCGB), the event will fea­ture bands, a bar­be­cue and plenty of real ale served un­til late.

The fun will start at 4pm, and the head­lin­ing act Black Rose will be on stage from about 9pm. En­try to the event is a £1 do­na­tion to char­ity. Overnight camp­ing is avail­able for £5, which in­cludes en­trance to bands.

Deb­bie Swin­scoe, sec­re­tary of HDRCGB said: “The Ex­eter Arms at Help­ston used to be a reg­u­lar venue on the band cir­cuit in Peter­bor­ough and it would be nice to see a good crowd for this first gig at the venue for ages.”
