Fun-packed day down on the farm

A DAY packed full of fam­ily fun can be en­joyed at Wil­low­brook Farm at Help­ston Heath this Sun­day.

The event kicks off at 9am and fin­ishes at 4pm and prom­ises to of­fer some­thing to suit peo­ple of all ages.

There will be dis­plays of vin­tage farm ma­chin­ery and clas­sic cars, as well as the chance to see some heavy horses in ac­tion.

Demon­stra­tions show­ing vis­i­tors how to make pork pies and dec­o­rate cakes will also take place, as well as a per­for­mance by a group of line dancers.

Free fam­ily trailer rides will be on­go­ing through­out the day around the farm and a hot air bal­loon will be fly­ing above the farm at var­i­ous times of the day too.

Stalls sell­ing crafts and lo­cal pro­duce will also have their place at the event – and any­one who buys fresh meat from the Wil­low­brook Farm Shop on the day will get 10 per cent off.

This is the fourth year Wil­low­brook Farm has held the open day and owner Rose­mary Mor­ton said: “This is a golden op­por­tu­nity for the pub­lic to see how and where their food is pro­duced. There will be plenty for peo­ple of all ages to en­joy and all pro­ceeds raised on the day will be given to Sue Ry­der Care.”
