The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Neighbourhood News -

YOUNGSTERS at a city school are keeping refreshed this summer drinking from water bottles designed by their fellow pupils.

All 180 children at St Augustine’s School on Palmerston Road, Peterborough, received free bottles last week.

The design of a blue top, clear body and school logo was created by the school’s committee, which includes two pupils from each of its classes.

Headteacher Stephen Cox said: “The bottles are fan- tastic and all the pupils love them.

“It is very important that they stay hydrated in the summer and this is a way of making sure every pupil has access to drinks.

“The committee are really happy and we are proud with the work they did.

“They did all the research and sent the designs off and did a great job.”

Cash for the project was generated through a non-school uniform day earlier in the month, raising £388.
