Will we cope?

RE: Budget 2010: ‘Black day for public service’, ET, June 24.

I don’t know if it’s me but we really don’t seem to be able to grasp the mess we are in. But we have a nice fountain in the city centre and a possible water taxi service, All’s good I have no idea how Marco is going to manage with the possibility of a council tax freeze. Roll on the Southbank development job for all ?!

AlEx dE lARGE you cannot spend more than you earn and if you do then eventually you have to pay it back. Labour should never be forgiven by the public. They claim global crisis, what tosh. They allowed a system to allow free credit to everyone and a spend, spend, spend ethos. Now we all have to pay for these mistakes and a lot of that pain needs to be felt by the public sector, we have too many public sector workers than is needed. Soon the unions’ power will be reduced and we can have some sense of normality and when the Unions moan about cuts etc you know it’s a good thing!
