Bad for economy

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Your Cartoon -

ThIS war against the public sector is childish, stupid and not at all helpful. Sure go for the big fish like the council executives on £100,000 a year, but leave the over-worked, under-paid frontline staff alone. I have been a civil servant in the past - I was on £7,000 for a full-time role about 10 years ago – how can that be over-paid? And how can they say “cutting the welfare bill” and “cutting jobs” in the same sentence?

That’s just stupid. The cull of public sector workers will see unemployment rise, the welfare bill going up and spending on the high Street fall – that’s really good for the economy! I will be scanning the lists that have already been published of non-VAT items to avoid paying as much VAT as possible after January – there are ways around this aspect of this joke of a budget (no VAT rise the Tories said before the election).
