Dancers in spin over charity donation

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - News -

A POPULAR dance group have been presented with charity checkout funds.

The Ironik dance group, who are based at Arthur Mellows Village College, in Glinton, Peterborough, have been given £203 as part of the Waitrose community matters scheme.

Each month, the city branch of the supermarket in Queensgate, pledges to donate a £1,000, which is shared between three local good causes.

Waitrose Partners choose three causes to benefit from the share and shoppers at the checkout are handed a green token, which they can drop into one of three labelled boxes at the store’s exit.

The more nominations a worthy cause is given, the greater the share of the donation they will receive.

The money given to Ironik will help the group to buy new dance equipment including stage props.
