Grant buys new gear for cadets
VIPER vests which allow teenagers to take part in combat activities have been presented to Peterborough members of the Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force (ACF).
The 25 vests were handed over to cadets at the Talavera Detachment, at Saville Road, Westwood, thanks to a grant from the Hyde Holiday Play fund.
Community Regeneration Coordinator for Minster Housing Association, part of the Hyde Group, Tracey Croucher, said: “Our next step is to identify which of the cadets are Minster residents so we can engage with them and invite them to the ACF summer camp.”
The ACF consists of 45,000 cadets based at more than 1,700 local detachments and units across the country.
