Beauty in con­test fi­nals

SHE wowed judges to be­come Miss Peter­bor­ough, but now Sarah Stone wants to be the nation’s most beau­ti­ful woman.

The 24-year-old blonde has made it to the fi­nal of Miss Eng­land, beat­ing 20 other girls in the semi-fi­nals. They com­peted in tests, in­clud­ing an eco-round.

Stun­ning Sarah, from Bos­ton, showed her green cre­den­tials by wear­ing a dress made of re­cy­cled ma­te­rial by stu­dents at City Col­lege Peter­bor­ough, in Brook Street. Now, she will be one of 60 girls vy­ing for the cov­eted Miss Eng­land crown in the fi­nal on Septem­ber 1. For the first time in 22 years, the con­test will be screened on TV on The Ac­tive Chan­nel, Sky Chan­nel 281.

She said: “Hope­fully I can win be­cause it’s the ul­ti­mate dream for me. I just want to do Peter­bor­ough proud.
